What power supply do mist fans need?
Each fan typically draws ~250–350W on 220–240V with a standard 13A socket. For 10+ units, we design a balanced power plan (separate circuits) and provide industrial extensions and cable mats. Tell us the nearest DB or socket positions and we’ll map the runs.
Do I need a generator or 3‑phase power?
Most events work on venue mains. For large deployments or remote sites, we can supply silent generators and temporary distribution boards. 3‑phase is only required when the overall electrical load and distance warrant it — we’ll advise during quotation.
How is water supplied and how much is used?
We can run from portable tanks or a tap feed. Typical consumption is ~2–3 L/hour per fan at medium mist. Our crew plans refills/top‑ups and keeps pathways dry. If potable water is limited, we can stage tanks and schedule refills.
Is the floor going to get wet?
We use fine‑mist nozzles and tune output for the space and wind. For indoor/covered areas we angle airflow and use drip‑safe fittings and anti‑slip mats where needed. Tell us surface types (tiles, timber, grass) and we’ll adjust.
How do delivery, loading bay and access work?
Please share venue address, loading bay hours, lift sizes, access height limits, parking distances and any permits. We coordinate with venue security/management and schedule staggered drops for malls, hotels and high‑rises.
How long is setup and teardown?
Rough guide: 10–12 fans ≈ 60–90 minutes to position, cable, fill and test. Larger jobs scale with crew size. Teardown is usually faster. We can provide standby crew for long programs or VIP segments.
How many fans should I rent?
Rule of thumb: 1 fan per 30–40 m² (open, shaded). Example: 20×20 m (400 m²) → 10–13 fans. Add 20–30% for mid‑day heat or low shade. Share a layout and guest count — we’ll map exact placements.
Are they noisy for speeches or performances?
Event‑grade fans run about ~60–68 dB at 1 m. We place units off‑axis from mics, reduce speed during formalities and coordinate with AV so speech intelligibility stays clean.
